What to see during the Shoulder Season
Each month has its own special highlights, so choose your departure date with these possibilities in mind.
 November (late spring – early summer)
Undoubtedly the most adventurous and, in some ways, the most awe-inspiring time to visit.
Huge volumes of ice and pristine snow
incredible courtship displays in the penguin rookeries (including nest building and stone stealing)
February – March (late summer)
 The weather is still good and the wildlife active but, most importantly; this is the best whale watching of the season.
